ARC-Lake LSWT Data Access

ARC-Lake v3.0 (Phase 3) data products have been generated for all Phase 3 lake locations, for the ATSR2/AATSR time period (1995-2012). There are several ways in which the v3.0 data can be accessed:

Daily-Global (DG) files

Data files containing observations for all targets for a single day. ARC-Lake v3 DG products are available in four separate zip archives, containing zipped NetCDF files. These four zip archives cover all combinations of ATSR2/AATSR and Day/Night. Note, ATSR1 data products linked in the table below are v2.

Climatology-Global (CG) files

Data files containing climatology for all targets. Also includes time-series of temporally averaged data for target means. Data files are derived from observations and spatially complete reconstructions.

Per Lake (PL) files

ARC-Lake v3.0 per-lake (PL) products for each of the Phase 3 lake locations are also available for download (from the per-lake data product page). There are up to 62 files available for each lake, one for each available combination of parameters outlined in Table 1. The data files for each lake are available for download as a single zip archive, by clicking on the lake ID in the table. Direct links to alphabetical and numerical locations in the per-lake data table are provided below.

The PL products can also be downloaded using Figure 1 (by clicking on the lake locations) or Table 1 from ARC-Lake (Phase 3) locatons page. Table 1 enables per-lake data to be sorted by lake name, lake ID, latitude, longitude and country. PL products for Phase 2 can also be downloaded using Figure 1 and Table 1 from ARC-Lake (Phase 2) locatons page.

File Naming Convention

There are four possible file name formats, each of which shares a common naming convention across the first 16 characters. The four file name formats and the types of files to which they apply are given in Table 1. The meanings of the file name components are outlined in Table 2.
